with a turkey and chickens a few days old. We <lb/> want to keep them away from the Pup. We were <lb/> going to put them in Murrintown, but it seems there's <lb/> pups there too, so now we'll take them to the Square <lb/> Meadow every day - something for idle people like <lb/> us to do. Tom Fitz is outside painting still. He <lb/> is to finish today I think, and Pat Gaynor has <lb/> finished all the whitewashing except the chimneys. <lb/> No hay cut yet, and all the turnips not sown <lb/> of course. Liz, Agnes, Fr Murphy & myself were at <lb/> Browne's <gap/> on <del>Sat</del>. Sunday evg. The four of <lb/> us drove the pony. Martin was also there, and no <lb/> one else only Maisie and Kathleen. We had a nice <lb/> evening playing croquet and that sort of thing. <lb/> Yesterday Agnes was in Wexford collecting for the <lb/> Irish Nationalist Aid Association along with K Browne.</p>
