West Cliff:</address> <date>Tuesday 6. 1915</date> <salute>My dear Edmund,</salute> <p>I was very glad to hear from <lb/>you & don't deserve it for I know I've not <lb/>written to you for ages, there seems so little of <lb/>interest here to tell. I'm just longing to get home <lb/>for a bit & looking forward very much to seeing <lb/>Dorothy to.morrow. I hope she <unclear>not</unclear> be very ill <gap/> <lb/>it has been <gap/> pretty stiff here all day & <lb/>raining too. Have you seen a little book <lb/>by O'Rorke, a chaplain who was a prisoner at <lb/>Torgau, Bay & Magdeburg it is called "In the Hands <lb/>of the Enemy" pub. Longman, I seen & gives a very interesting <lb/>account of the prisoners doings & mentions several <lb/>we know, Capt-<gap/>, H. Randall etc.</p> <p>I was sorry indeed to hear of <gap/> death <lb/>it is sad for poor Lord, & must have been very</p>
