I must say she is always <lb/>full of pluck & never grouses about anything, <lb/>a luxury I indulge in frequently!</p> <p>Tell Mamma the potato bread arrived & is <lb/>much appreciated. I will write to her when I've <lb/>seen Dorothy & have settled the date to come <lb/>home.</p> <p>I fear we 'sent a boy on a man's errand' again in <lb/>the Persian Gulf.</p> <p>Well, we must try to have as cheery a Xmas as <lb/>possible, we ought to be very thankful, we are <lb/>lucky compared to many, I can't think of many <lb/>households where there <unclear>not</unclear> be sad gaps.</p> <salute>Much love <lb/>Ever yours. </salute> <signed><hi rend="underline">Olive,</hi></signed> <note>Going to hear <gap/> <gap/> here to—morrow.</note>
