<p>had arranged for a motor to drive us <lb/> out which was very nice. I have a <lb/> good deal of that objectionable small <lb/>etc, but I feel sure that it is just the <lb/>mucous, which has been there so long <lb/>coming away, which I think is quite <lb/>natural & satisfactory .& the nostril is <lb/>nearly quite clear now, I had a really <lb/>comfortable sleep last night. As to J.V <lb/>the <gap/>, May thinks she might <lb/><gap/><unclear>mifs</unclear> B.G's <add>brother</add> approach M<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi> Balfry <lb/>& ask if he could give a helping hand. <lb/><gap/> is no good doing anything till we know <lb/>his views for certain & I feel doubtful <lb/>whether it can be done or would be satis— <lb/>factory <gap/> as M<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi> B.G only <lb/>knows him as a tennis acquaintance <lb/>& I think he would not carry much <lb/>weight & it might be hard for him to <lb/>ask about it. I wonder whether you <lb/>have heard from J. or <gap/> on the subject. <lb/>I am sure Lloyd George would be the person <lb/>to effect this thing & even if J. went out for a <lb/>few meeting & could <unclear>be back</unclear> then, but I <lb/>suppose Ponders End couldn't wait. We are going <lb/>by an early (goods) train today to get <lb/>out earlier which will be much <unclear>easier.</unclear> <lb/>Aunt S. comes here today. I left the <lb/><gap/> with <unclear>Mips</unclear> Young. She liked <lb/>the little shirt but doubted they <lb/>each be ready to find so much <unclear>but</unclear> <lb/>She is to see what can be done. <lb/>I hope to see cousin E. tomorrow <lb/>now I must get up It is a lovely <lb/>clear morning & yesterday we were very <lb/>lucky as it was fine & even smashing <lb/>in Dublin & rained all day near <lb/>here .May's going away coat & shirt <lb/>I think is charming though very plain <lb/>dark blue trimmed with wide black <lb/>braid & little lines of rose colour <lb/>in collar & cuffs. I think the wedd. <lb/><gap/>will be very pretty too, though I <lb/>am not quite sure that this shade of <lb/>blue is quite <del>idear</del> ideal. I do hope <lb/>Ron cam all right & is a comfort <lb/>(5.30pm) <hi rend="underline">Train returning from Dublin</hi> <lb/>I am on my way back after rather </p>
