<p>a rushy day & I fear I have left <lb/>a good deal undone but it cannot <lb/>be helped. Chancellor will do the <lb/>handle of the tea pot & mend the <lb/> hob for 12/6, which is more than <lb/> I expected, but he showed me that <lb/> both little ivory pieces are cracked <lb/> & want renewing & the silver is <lb/> also cracked by the pins. Will you <lb/>send them a p.c.k. do it as I said <lb/> I must ask you. I think it would <lb/> be a great pity not to get it done. <lb/>They would only allow 15/ for the <lb/> cred <gap/> & nothing for the other <lb/>things & I had not time to take them <lb/> elsewhere so I said they were to be <lb/>returned with the<gap/>tomorrow. <lb/> We have not heard whether C. can <lb/> come. J. has got a cottage which <lb/>sounds vey nice & cheap close <lb/>to the camp & need not be happy, <lb/>he thinks till Monday so they could <lb/>stay in Holyhead Sunday & go on <lb/>Monday. He himself has been settled <lb/>all right to May's trial <gab> </p>
