cases the examiner shall receive a fee of £5 for setting the
<lb/>combnined paper for the three grades and the shall be paid at the same rates as
<lb/>those set out above for the examiners. If,
<lb/>however, the total number of answer books in a subject does 
<lb/>not exceed fifty, the total remuneration for setting the papers
<lb/>and marking the answer books for the axaminer of examiners
<lb/>in that subject shall not exceed £20.

(16) In no case shall the total amount (other than expenses of locomotion, etc) paid to an examiner exceed £100.

(17) Personal attendance of examiners is not required
<lb/>at the examinations. Examiners may, however, be required to
<lb/>attend Conferences at the Office, 1, Hume Street, Dublin.

(18) Examiners will be allowed actual expenses of locomotion provided that these do not exceed the locomotive
<lb/>expenses from the permanent registered address of the examiner,
<lb/>but except as provided in rules (10) and (13) no subsistence allowance will be paid to examiners.
