<p>just lit when help came.</p> <p>We have been having a <lb/>lot of trouble with the works <lb/>Admiralty suddenly & stopped <lb/>all sailing to Bristol Channel <lb/>& our cargo of Lead nearly £300 <lb/>worth is lying at N. Wall & an <lb/><del>a</del> Cargo of Zinc just off to join <lb/>it. Then Anthracite ran short. <lb/>This ended 3 week ago so the <lb/> works had to be stopped, for 2—3 <lb/><sic>Jny</sic>, we have got a supply now <lb/>at £2.10.0 a ton this I had bought <lb/>at £1.14.0 " " we were thankful <lb/>to get some at any price. Elsewhere <lb/>the price <unclear>further</unclear> was £3.0.0.</p> <p>It was very disquiting C being <lb/>called up to <unclear>Duncer</unclear>. I fear he will <lb/>have no chance of Leave now tho <lb/>in Dublin they <sic>wd</sic> certainly have given <lb/>him several weeks home, & he would <lb/>have been much the better for it. He <lb/>is by no means over this shock to some <lb/>of the Apprentices, &<unclear> Duncer</unclear> is <lb/>not exactly a health resort.</p> <p>You give an attractive <sic>acct</sic> <lb/>of K.C. Hostel, & I do hope you will <lb/>be able to arrange to be there, <sic>altho</sic> <lb/>further from <sic>yr</sic> work, you will be <lb/>much nearer to friends <unclear>Ita</unclear> Woods & <lb/><unclear>Crompton</unclear> & altogether <del>a</del>surely <lb/>much less dreary & lonely.</p> <p>I wonder will Em or yourself <lb/>come into social contact with <lb/>Mabel. She is not so extremely <lb/>out of the way as Floss.</p> <p>Letters are called for so <lb/>Good bye dear little Daughter</p> <salute><sic>Yr</sic> loving father</salute> <digned><hi rend="underline"><sic>Albt</sic> A Wynne</hi></signed> <note>Much Love to Em.</note>
