what on earth to do next <lb/>, here though we are certainly <lb/> far from overworked and have <lb/> really plenty of leisure time. <lb/> Still there's never any question <lb/> of <unclear>Loco</unclear> to pass time and the <lb/> improvement is really astonishing.</p> <p>I had a topping weekend this <lb/> time there hadn't been time to <lb/> arrange to meet <unclear>Wieslan</unclear> so when <lb/> I got to London I went down <lb/> to Richmond and got there just <lb/> in time for tea — they were all <lb/> awfully nice and offered to put <lb/> me up. — Veronica came down <lb/> in the evening and we had a <lb/> grand time on the river after <lb/> supper — then Veronica got an<pb/> afternoon off on Sunday and <lb/> after tea we went out again. <lb/> It was <sic>an</sic>grand day — very hot <lb/>and altogether it was great.</p> <p>I am so glad you & Father like <lb/>the idea of a trip to <del>London</del> Richmond. <lb/> I do hope it will be managed all <lb/> right — I wonder when it will be.</p> <p>How splendid if the mines are <lb/> really taken over — I do hope Father <lb/> has opened the Gov. pocket wide <lb/> enough — it seems to be very elastic <lb/> in such matters if only it's pulled <lb/> hard enough.</p> <p>Please give my thanks for <unclear>Em</unclear> <lb/>& Win for their topping letters, <lb/> how grand having the Aunts at <lb/> the Cottage.</p> <p>I have been writing to <unclear>Wieslan</unclear><pb/> .
